SEPTEMBER 2019 REWIND

 [8/7/2019, 8:47 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Increase our faith, O Father. Let us have confidence in your power, wisdom, and mercy. You see our sufferings and know how long we have endured them. You feel for our infirmities and understand our every need. Let our faith rise up even in the midst of troublous times and grow the stronger when put to the test.

[8/17/2019, 9:14 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I thank you that I have my identity in you. Thank you for your son, Jesus Christ, and what he did for us. It is because of Him, I can call you Father. It is because of Him, you see me as your own – righteous, holy, and whole. I will be eternally grateful for this gift, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[8/19/2019, 1:50 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Give me a discerning spirit, Lord, to know when to rejoice and when to weep. Let me show concern for others and their situation and life events instead of just focusing only on my own. Let me show true compassion and genuine joy in the right way and time to others.

[8/19/2019, 1:50 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I pray that I remain focused on what you have always called me to do – spread the message of the gospel. I desire that more and more people in this world will come to the knowledge of who you really are. Father, may you help me in every moment to spread the word of the gospel. May I never be intimidated or afraid, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[8/23/2019, 11:37 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I would like to praise your name. You are a good Father and I am so grateful for you in my life. Lord, whenever I think of your goodness I find myself in awe. A joy bubbles within me whenever I dwell on your faithfulness and your love. I will praise your name, all my days, Father. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Thank you, Lord, for the assurance you have given me of the eternity I will spend with you. I live my life at peace, knowing that whether I am alive or whether I am dead, you are always for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I also pray for my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who endure great pain and torture for choosing to follow you. May you comfort them in these trying times, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[9/1/2019, 12:15 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Heavenly Father, I am so thankful for all that you have done for me. I thank you for loving me and helping me understand what love is. Strengthen me in times that are difficult, aiding me when I am hurt so that I can love even my enemies. I know that through you, all things are possible, and I humbly ask that you help me grow with you in life’s journey. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

[9/2/2019, 1:01 PM] MY TESTIMONY: My God in heaven, I am knocking on your door. All I want is to be welcomed, be next to you, and be one with you. The door to my heart will always be open for you, and help me keep it open for others that may need it. I humbly ask this as your servant. Amen.

[9/3/2019, 11:48 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Lord, I want to love you with all my heart, soul, and might. I must love you with all my heart, soul, and might. When my faith wavers my God, strengthen my love and will to know you. I will leave everything else to you, my strength and my redeemer. In your name I pray. Amen.

[9/5/2019, 4:35 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Lord, You deserve more praise than I can give You. I cannot even recount all of the great things You have done. You are great. You created all knowledge. You created the rules of the universe, logic, order, and science. You created math and language. You made our senses so that we can hear, taste, feel, see, and smell Your creation. Thank You, God, for Your creativity and Your greatness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

[9/6/2019, 2:38 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Lord, I want to do Your will. You have saved me and I am so grateful for that. You are too good to me. Send me. I want to do your work. I want to do whatever You have for me. If You ask me to be a janitor, I will. If You ask me to share the good news of Jesus with a friend or stranger, I will speak. If You ask me to give up my possessions, I will. If You send me somewhere I don’t want to go, I will obey. Whatever it is, send me. In Jesus’ holy name amen.

[9/7/2019, 8:19 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Lord, You did mighty things through Samuel. I praise You for Your mighty works. You do great things through Your people. You make small acts into mighty deeds. I will be Your servant. Whatever small things or large things you have for me, I will do. I bow before You, ready and willing to do Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

[9/8/2019, 9:34 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Dearest Father, bring light to my darkened soul. Help me keep you in my heart, O Lord, my rock and redeemer, this day and always. Forgive me for sinning, but know that I shall not forget the sacrifice that you made by sending your only begotten son to shed his blood and sacrifice his body so that we may live. In the name of your son, Jesus Christ, I pray to you today. Amen.

[9/10/2019, 10:58 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Heavenly Father, give me the strength and vigilance to defend your honor and praise your glory. Allow me to fortify my faith against all evil, under the guardianship of your Angels. Deliver me from Satan’s work Lord, and let me not falter or weaken in his wake. Grant me awareness, so as under the eyes of Gabriel, I may continue lift my heart up closer to you, my Heavenly Father. Amen.

[9/11/2019, 12:38 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, give me wisdom to know when I am being led in a foolish direction. Help me to resist the temptation of alcohol today. I know it is not only leads to foolish decisions, it is also dangerous. Give me the courage to turn away from alcohol or anything offering false promises of happiness. You are the only thing that will bring me true fulfillment. Thank you for giving us refuge and courage to battle temptations such as these. Please use me to help others struggling with these temptations, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.

[9/12/2019, 1:18 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, forgive me for the times I have failed to see all the ways you have rescued me. Forgive my grumbling when things did not go my way. When I begin to have a negative attitude, may I be reminded of the Israelites and their journey out of Egypt. Allow me to learn from their story. When I exalt anyone or anything above you, make it known to me so that I may repent and turn away from this idol worship. Thank you for your mercy and your grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

[9/13/2019, 4:45 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Lord, I am grateful for your mercy in showing us your word made flesh so that we may be redeemed. Further, I am grateful to you for showing us your love and grace through your only begotten son. Let his body not have been torn and broken for no avail, but feed us now in the Eucharist. Let not his blood have been shed in vain, but have given us freedom. For thy word is my guide, and the holiest of sacraments. Amen.

[9/14/2019, 2:23 AM] MY TESTIMONY: May we be motivated to spread your Word and Gospel to all the earth, O Lord, knowing that it is the only hope of men lost in their sins. Let us not hold out a false hope for men to be saved without the Gospel but instead endeavor to do our part to get the Gospel out to a lost and dying world. As hymn writer Isaac Watts put it, "Send Thy victorious Word abroad and bring the strangers home!"

[9/16/2019, 10:24 AM] MY TESTIMONY: To my Lord above, my Creator and Heavenly Father, by your grace do I come to thank you for all I have. Teach me not to covet others and their lot, but grant me instead the ability to Love and see the blessings you have already bestowed upon me. In return for your grace, I thus offer up to you my humblest of gifts, my Lord -my heart in obedience, is yours. Amen.

[9/17/2019, 1:54 AM] MY TESTIMONY: I know, Lord, that You have chosen me to be your disciple. You did not choose me because of anything good you saw in me but purely in grace for your sovereign purposes. Whatever my failings, I take comfort in knowing that the Apostles failed also at first but that You ultimately worked mightily through them. You can do the same with all of Your children.

[9/19/2019, 1:01 AM] MY TESTIMONY: You have made us your witnesses, Lord, that you are God. Our actions and our words are a witness to the world. Let them be full of wisdom and love. Help us to know how to speak a word in season and how to speak the truth in love to others. Amen.

[9/21/2019, 5:47 AM] MY TESTIMONY: My Divine and graceful Lord, I long to sing and praise your name, and to show you that my heart belongs to thee. In peace and joy I rejoice, for the closer I am to your creation the bigger my heart grows, for you are our rock, our anchor, our Heavenly Father in salvation. Amen.

[9/22/2019, 5:52 PM] MY TESTIMONY: O Lord Jesus, we have passed from death to life (John 5:24) by hearing Your Word. And we know You have life in Yourself to give to men (John 5:26). Open our minds and hearts to understand Your truths, truths that very often the natural mind wants to reject. You have given us life. Give us that life, we pray, yet more abundantly.

[9/23/2019, 8:23 PM] MY TESTIMONY: You, Lord Jesus, are the resurrection and the life. We believe in you. Though our mortal bodies should die, you will raise them again and make them like Your glorious body. And we who are alive at Your coming (the Rapture) will never die but our bodies will be changed in a moment, and so shall we ever be with you, Lord. Let this promise of future resurrection give us hope and encourage us even today. Amen.

[9/24/2019, 6:12 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I thank you that when it comes to following your way, I have nothing to worry about because you have taken care of anything. I know that your word will be confirmed, no matter who may or may not believe it in my life. Because of this, I choose to move forward in the path you have set out for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[9/25/2019, 2:47 AM] MY TESTIMONY: O God, You will not break your covenant with Your people Israel whom you have chosen. And You will not break your promises to your Church, either. Both Jews and Gentiles are one in Your Church, having one Lord, one faith, one hope. We do not seek to rob Your people Israel of their special promised blessings and leave them only the curses; but we rejoice that there is an "Israel of God" and that we share with them a common faith and Savior.

[9/27/2019, 2:25 AM] MY TESTIMONY: You, Lord, are the high and lofty one who inhabits eternity. Your holiness is unspeakably pure, and Your hatred of sin is indescribeably intense. We thank You that You have sent Your Son to bear the fury of Your wrath against sin on the cross, for we could not bear it ourselves. We could not quench the fire or Your wrath though we suffered for all eternity, but Your Son has availed for us, praise be to His holy name!

[9/28/2019, 1:59 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, forgive me for my sins! I repent and ask that you help me handle the consequences of my sin with wisdom. Please do not allow my sins to cause others shame or lead people away from you, O Lord. I am sorry. I know you are merciful and will forgive me, so do not allow me to be controlled by feelings of guilt either. Allow me to move forward in repentance. In Jesus’ name, amen.

[9/30/2019, 10:39 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I thank You that I am now one with You as a result of Your Spirit living within me. Father, I ask that You help me to be wary of the decisions I make in my life, so that I know that I am paying attention to Your will for me and not what my selfishness demands.
