What's your daily labour? And in whose name do you go about it? In whose name do you do what you do? If it's the Lord you are serving, then serve well. No 'on and off' attitude. Do nothing for selfish ambition except only for God's glory. Scripture assures us that blessed shall we be if we live and labour in the Name of the Lord. Amen! Pray!

Faith in Christ Jesus positions us in the midst of a battle against evil, the devil and his angels. We ought to fight a good fight to prevail over them. Christ is our strength and the right we have to fight the way we should against the devil. Whoever fights well, in the end, shall lay hold on life eternal. How are you doing in this battle? Therefore hide not from the Lord; hide not your sins from God. He sees everything: And He cares! Unless you don't believe in Him, you are never condemned. God really listens to the prayers and cry of His people. He readily helps His poor afflicted ones. Yet, these men and women of God are patient with us. They tell us the story of Jesus slowly and simply. They tell us so often and give us God's remedy for sin. Water for the thirsty; rest for the weary and light for those in darkness, that's Jesus. He calls all to come to Him and find what they lack, what they are looking for, and what will in every way satisfy them. Do not say you have heard it before when you have nothing to show that you have it. What Jesus offers is not just meant to be heard but to be believed, received and possessed. So let nothing keep you away if you still don't have what Jesus is offering. Come one! Come all! Not at any later time but NOW, as we begin Lent! Reflect and pray!

Not all things we do in the name of worshipping God are weightier matters. Some are "lesser things". Justice, Mercy and Faithfulness are weightier things. The hymnist admonishes us to "have done with lesser things" so we can "give hearts and soul and mind and strength" to pursue those things that matter most to God. And that becomes a true service to God and an act of worship that catches the attention of God. O men and women of God, rise up! Have nothing to do again with lesser things! Amen! Pray!

Sin has a pleasure component it offers to all. Those who desire not for God nor the things of God hardly escape its snares and sways. But if you claim you love Jesus, then be determined to resign from sin and all the pleasures it promises, for the sake of Jesus Christ. Your sins hurt Christ. True lovers of Jesus Christ would never want to keep on hurting Him by sinning. Jesus truly loves you so don't hurt Him any longer! Reflect and pray!
