OCTOBER INSPIRATION

 [10/1, 7:26 PM] MY TESTIMONY: For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.

1 Samuel 12:22

INSPIRATION

It was God's will to make Israel His special nation through which He would send the Messiah and which He would bless uniquely. It was not for their goodness or greatness but for His glory that he did it, and even Israel's great sins would not lead God to forsake them as a nation or forgo to complete His great purposes for them.

LET'S PRAY 🙏

O Lord, You have chosen and called out Your Church from the world for Your own glory. You chastise us when we sin, but You will not forsake us, for You will accomplish Your purposes in us and through us for Your own glory. Even so, Lord, let it be!

[10/1, 11:52 PM] MY TESTIMONY: But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Romans 8:9

INSPIRATION

Every believer has the Spirit of God, whom Christ sent, dwelling in him. And wherever the Spirit so dwells, he sanctifies. Despite the struggle in us between the old nature and the new, believers will not simply live out their entire lives "in the flesh." They will show evidence of being "in the Spirit."

LET'S PRAY 🙏

Help me, O Lord, to walk in the Spirit, that i fulfill not the lusts of the flesh. Let me be led of your Spirit who dwells in me, led into holiness of heart and life. Test my thoughts, examine my words, shed the light of your Word on each step I take. I am not skilled to walk alone, Lord, but must constantly rely on you for guidance and strength for the journey.

[10/2, 11:11 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

2 Corinthians 8:20-21

INSPIRATION

Paul was intent on delivering the offering given by the Gentile churches to the poor Jewish saints in Jerusalem. But he insisted everything involving money be done in a manner above all reproach. He had others travel with him to deliver the gift, even though he was trusted by all.

LET'S PRAY 🙏

Lord, let us act in a way that is honest in not only your sight but also in the sight of men. Let us be sure that our dealings are beyond reproach, particularly all dealings with money. Let everything in our churches be done "decently and in order," and let this be the rule in our personal lives as well.

[10/3, 6:54 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:13

INSPIRATION

There truly is no greater love than the love expressed for us through Jesus Christ. Though we were sinners, He considered us friends and counted us worth dying for. There is no one else in this entire universe who can reenact this great move of love

LET'S PRAY 🙏

Dear God, I am always in awe when I think of the love that shone through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for all mankind so that we could be saved and redeemed from a life of sin. Father, were it not for Your son, I would not be able to commune with You. May I never take this gift for granted, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/3, 11:56 PM] MY TESTIMONY: I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

PSALM 9:1

INSPIRATION

Praise to God must be "whole-hearted" not "half-hearted." A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. (James 1:8) We men seek you with all their heart, they find you. God does not settle for luke-warm, half-way commitment but demands our all.

LET'S PRAY 🙏

Help me praise you, O God, with my whole heart. Let there not be some hidden corner of my heart that cannot praise you. Let there be no resentment against you, no questioning of your decisions, no blindness to your glorious attributes. Make my heart alive to you and ever praising you for your goodness to me.

[10/4, 7:07 PM] MY TESTIMONY: But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

1 John 2: 27:

INSPIRATION

This anointing is the Holy Spirit, whom we receive upon salvation. The Holy Spirit teaches us about the things of God as we study His word. The Holy Spirit communicates what God desires us to know, when we pray. Once we have received the Holy Spirit, He remains with us, as our assurance of our salvation – never to leave.

LET'S PRAY

Dear God, I thank You for the Holy Spirit, who is also the assurance of my eternal salvation. Lord, I pray that I will always be attentive to His teachings and His guidance because I know He speaks what You speak. May I never try to find counsel in another, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/4, 11:25 PM] MY TESTIMONY: But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Matthew 9: 12

INSPIRATION

We do not go to the doctor to be cured if we are not sick or do not have some physical condition that needs healing. Nor will men go to Christ for forgiveness of sins and spiritual healing if they do not first see themselves as they are, if they do not see their lost and needy condition.

LET'S PRAY 🙏

 Help us, O Lord, to point men to Christ as the One who can heal the disease of sin and cure all its "symptoms." But teach us to first show men their need of Jesus Christ through presenting your Law. We know men must be humbled by the Law before they can receive the love of your Gospel. Help us to be discerning and sensitive to our audience when we preach your Gospel.

[10/5, 2:12 PM] MY TESTIMONY: For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

PSALM 107:9

INSPIRATION

God will never leave you wanting and He will never leave you weak. God readily provides us with his goodness; it is never something we have to beg or plead for. He even went a step further to ensure that we are always in His presence, by giving us the Holy Spirit. We truly can never want when it comes to God.

LET'S PRAY

Dear God, I am grateful to have such a loving Father like You, who never leaves my soul hungry or weak. Lord I am also grateful that in times of need, You take care of me. When I desire to know more of You, You share readily. You are so willing to give, Father, and I am grateful. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/5, 8:30 PM] MY TESTIMONY: To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

1 Corinthians 9:22

INSPIRATION

What did Paul mean that he was "all things to all men?" Not that he would compromise the Gospel message, changing it or "adapting it to different cultures, but that he would change and adapt himself in any way not sinful or deceitful, in order to remove a needless roadblock to men hearing the Gospel.

LET'S PRAY

O Lord, let me be willing to leave my "comfort zone" or to adapt to others and different situations as needed to be an effective witness for you and your truth. Let me not hinder the Gospel by stubbornly holding to human traditions, but let me not change the truth of the message with novelties that depart from the faith once delivered to the saints.

[10/9, 4:42 PM] MY TESTIMONY: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 1:8

INSPIRATION

The Holy Spirit serves as a witness to the things God has done through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is through the Holy Spirit we are able to testify of the good things God has done, as well as preach the message of Christ to the world. The Holy Spirit empowers us and enables us to preach effectively and perform miracles if need be.

LET'S PRAY

Dear God, I thank You for the gift You gave me in the form of the Holy Spirit, Your Spirit. Thank You, Lord, that because of Your Holy Spirit, I am never away from You. Lord, I ask that I may remain attentive to the guiding and teaching of the Holy Spirit, through Your word. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/9, 10:14 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Hebrews 11:3

INSPIRATION

It takes faith to believe even the first verse of the Bible, where it tells us how that God created the world out of nothing. He spoke the worlds into existence; and he rules his creation. All history is his plan unfolding, and his creative Word is the most powerful force in the universe.

LET'S PRAY 🙏

Lord God, my faith is in you and the power of your Word. It was your Word that brought the universe into existence out of absolute nothingness. It is by your command that all things continue to exist instead of lapsing into non-existence. It is by your Word you make us new creatures in Christ for your eternal glory!

[10/10, 9:56 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I am comforted by the fact that I am eternally Yours. Lord, I thank You for what Your son, Jesus Christ, did for me. I would not be able to call You my Father if it weren’t for Christ. Thank You, Lord, for this eternal gift and the heavenly inheritance I can be confident in. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

INSPIRATION

LET'S PRAY 🙏

O Father, you have chosen us out of the world to yourself, and we are of a Heavenly nation though living on the earth. We are foreigners to those who do not know you, and our ways from you are foreign, strange, and offensive to them. We are also pilgrims, for this world is not our permanent home. Help us to live for you in the midst of a strange and hostile land, always remembering our true country is above.

[10/11, 3:26 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Rejoice evermore.Pray without ceasing.In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-17

INSPIRATION

God desires that we rejoice always and be thankful in every situation. This may sound like it’s “easier said than done” but when you are in Christ, it is very possible. By praying continually – which is something else God desires that we do – we are reminded of God’s faithfulness and His goodness. This is how we are able to rejoice and give thanks in every situation; it’s because we know that is always with us.

LET'S PRAY 🙏

Dear God, I thank You that in every situation I am able to rejoice because of Your faithfulness and Your unfailing goodness. Lord, even in the toughest situations, I have joy because there is nothing greater on this earth than You and Your love. Thank You for always being with me, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/11, 11:55 PM] MY TESTIMONY: For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

1 Corinthians 11:23-24

INSPIRATION

Communion services should be kept solemn, given what they represent. The blood of Jesus shed for us and his body broken for us are precious and not to be partaken of "unworthily." Christ passed on this ordinance to Paul, who passed it on to the Church at Cornith. It is a holy tradition that goes back to Jesus himself.

LET'S PRAY

Lord Jesus, let us take holy communion in remembrance of the great sacrifice you made for us on the cross. Let it not seem a mere routine ritual, but let us sense its true meaning and treat it with utmost respect. And let us learn the Gospel lesson that it signifies and take that out to a lost and dying world.

[10/12, 6:33 PM] MY TESTIMONY: YOU'VE GOT MESSAGE FROM GOD.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 54:17

INSPIRATION

There is nothing the devil tries that will be able to snatch you out of God’s hand. He will try to attack you with all kinds of weapons and he will use people to try and bring you down with harsh words and damaging untruths. But none of these attacks of the enemy will ever be able to prevail against you. Not while God, your Father, is still around. Not ever.

LET'S PRAY 🙏 IN RESPONSE.

Dear God, I thank You for the assurance You have given me that no matter what may happen or come my way, You will always be there to protect me and help me overcome the wiles of the enemy. Lord, I know that the devil will try time and time again to bring me down but I am not shaken, for You are my refuge. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/12, 11:45 PM] MY TESTIMONY: For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Romans 12:4-5

INSPIRATION

The Church of God, and each local church in particular, are made up of a diverse group of believers whom God has gifted with different natural talents and spiritual gifts. And he has called different members of this one great Body to different ministries, but all should be done in submission the Head of the Body, which is Christ.

LET'S PRAY 🙏

Show me, Lord, where I might fit in in my local church and in the whole Body of Christ. Let me seek to serve you, and in the process of seeking your glory and your will to be done, let me find the ministry you have in store for me. Amen.

[10/13, 6:36 PM] MY TESTIMONY: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Philippians 2: 7-8

INSPIRATION

Jesus wasn’t afraid to be seen with different kinds of people – regardless of their social standing. The Pharisees called Jesus all kinds of names because of the people He was found visiting, but Jesus didn’t care. Classism and any other form of prejudice are not welcome in the life of a beginner. We are called to love everyone and reach out to every person and preach the gospel to them. How can we exemplify the love of God if we choose to be prejudiced towards a certain group of people?

LET'S PRAY 🙏

Dear God, I thank You for the love that is in my heart. Thank You for setting the example of how we are to love everyone around us. Lord, if I harbor any prejudice may You make it known to me and may You help me deal with it. I desire to treat everyone equally with the love that You have given to me so freely. In Jesus’ name, I pray amen.

[10/15, 2:32 PM] MY TESTIMONY: And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

Luke 2:20

INSPIRATION

The shepherds received the message of the birth of Christ with great joy and celebration. When we think of Christ we should celebrate. Everything about Him gives us reason to be joyful. Even His second coming, should make us excited. We are not to fear because we are part of the elect. We are saved and redeemed because of Christ. This is why we celebrate and this is why we are joyful.

LET'S PRAY 🙏

.Dear God, I thank You for Your grace You gave me so freely when Your Son came and died for me, resurrected from the dead, and set me free. I live a life that I do not deserve but You still gave, all because of Your love for me. It is because of this I am filled with joy and I bless Your name, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/16, 1:03 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

John 17: 24

INSPIRATION

Jesus Christ intended for us to be with him for life. This salvation that we have is not a temporary salvation – it is eternal. Christ prayed that we be with him at all times – and that prayer has come to pass. As we go through our daily lives, we should never forget that Christ is with us at all times. Nothing can ever separate us from His love and that will not change anytime soon.

LET'S 🙏

Dear God, I thank you for this gift of salvation that is eternal. I thank you, Lord, that wherever I go you are always with me. It is a great comfort to know that I never have to face anything on my own; your love and peace comfort me and give me the strength I need to keep moving. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Zechariah 4:5-6

INSPIRATION

Our victory, as believers, is not by our might or by the height of our intellect. Nothing in our own power can ever make us righteous. We are where we are, as children of God, as a result of the Spirit of God residing in us. The Spirit of God is able to reside in us so easily because Jesus Christ justified and sanctified us by his blood. Isn’t that glorious?

LET'S PRAY 🙏

Dear God, I thank you that it is never by my might or power that I am saved and victorious in you. It is because of your son, Jesus Christ, that I am able to have access to the Holy Spirit who enables me to function as your child. Lord, may I always take heed to the guidance of your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
