OCTOBER 2019 REWIND

 [10/2/2019, 8:32 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Lord, let us act in a way that is honest in not only your sight but also in the sight of men. Let us be sure that our dealings are beyond reproach, particularly all dealings with money. Let everything in our churches be done "decently and in order," and let this be the rule in our personal lives as well.

[10/3/2019, 9:13 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Help me praise you, O God, with my whole heart. Let there not be some hidden corner of my heart that cannot praise you. Let there be no resentment against you, no questioning of your decisions, no blindness to your glorious attributes. Make my heart alive to you and ever praising you for your goodness to me.

[10/4/2019, 9:58 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I am in awe of whom You are. There is no one who can love us the way You do. No one else could have created the entire universe, like you did. Your power is unmatched; there is no one who can stand to say they are greater than you. Lord, in all Your greatness and power, You let your love for us come first. You moved mountains just to have us close to you; what a great privilege. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/5/2019, 1:07 PM] MY TESTIMONY: O Lord, let me be willing to leave my "comfort zone" or to adapt to others and different situations as needed to be an effective witness for you and your truth. Let me not hinder the Gospel by stubbornly holding to human traditions, but let me not change the truth of the message with novelties that depart from the faith once delivered to the saints.

[10/6/2019, 2:54 AM] MY TESTIMONY: What did Paul mean that he was "all things to all men?" Not that he would compromise the Gospel message, changing it or "adapting it to different cultures, but that he would change and adapt himself in any way not sinful or deceitful, in order to remove a needless roadblock to men hearing the Gospel.

[10/6/2019, 12:44 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I will always be in awe, and filled with joy, when I think of how great Your love for me, and anyone else in this world, is. It is because of Your love, O God, I know that everything will be alright. You truly are a Good, Good, Father. I will forever be grateful for You and Your love, O Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/8/2019, 8:00 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I thank you for the time that is coming when we will be able to look at death and laugh because there is nothing it will be able to do to us. Lord, this will be a glorious day and my heart eagerly awaits it. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/9/2019, 10:01 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Lord God, my faith is in you and the power of your Word. It was your Word that brought the universe into existence out of absolute nothingness. It is by your command that all things continue to exist instead of lapsing into non-existence. It is by your Word you make us new creatures in Christ for your eternal glory!

[10/9/2019, 9:01 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I know it won’t be easy for me, but I ask that you help me to love every single person who opposes me. Heal me of any hurt that they may have caused, Lord, so that I can love them fully. I pray that this love will also inspire them to change their ways, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/11/2019, 11:57 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Lord Jesus, let us take holy communion in remembrance of the great sacrifice you made for us on the cross. Let it not seem a mere routine ritual, but let us sense its true meaning and treat it with utmost respect. And let us learn the Gospel lesson that it signifies and take that out to a lost and dying world.

[10/13/2019, 10:04 AM] MY TESTIMONY: O Savior, you chose the lowly things of this world, the poor, the downtrodden, the uneducated, the weak, far more than the affluent and wealthy. You did this for your glory to discourage boasting. Let us all, as Christians, partake of a single Christian "culture" and not divide into our separate groups and neglect to relate to those outside of that group. We are one in you, let us act like it.

[10/14/2019, 3:06 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I thank you for the parents and guardians You have given me who are concerned about You and Your will for their lives and my life. Father, may you help me to pay attention to their instructions and their advice. I desire to honor my parents because I know it brings you honor too. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/18/2019, 9:02 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I pray that my eyes will always remain focused on anything that concerns you. I am aware of the evil in this world and no part of me desires to be a part of such. Help me to remain in your ways, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/20/2019, 9:32 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Isaiah 40:6

Lord, I am not always strong. In fact, I rarely am. I often rely too much on my own strength and not Yours. Help me to rely on You and not myself. Help me rely on Your strength. You are a good God and You are merciful. You see the weak, and You make them strong. Thank You for caring for the weak. Please care for me when I am wavering. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

[10/22/2019, 3:33 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, it is easy to allow corrupt words to pass through our mouths when we are angered. But, You can give us a spirit of self-control to battle this temptation. Thank You for giving us the perfect example of loving others and extending grace. May our words reflect Your heart, O Lord. Help me to use my words to edify and bless others rather than wound. Please purify my mind and heart so that my words are a reflection of You. It is only because of Your son, Jesus Christ, and your grace that I can overcome this struggle. In Jesus’ name, amen.

[10/23/2019, 9:10 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, I am grateful that I can find my rest in you. There is no one else and nothing else that can give me peace and protect me, the way you do, Father. Thank you for always being faithful in your promises, Lord. I have every reason to put my trust in you and I will never forget that. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

[10/23/2019, 9:55 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, You are a consuming fire. You are holy, O Lord. We know sin is an offense to You. Forgive us of our sins, Father. Thank You for Your mercy and for sending Your son, Jesus Christ, so that we may approach You with reverence and awe. You are amazing and we are undeserving of Your attention, but You are good to show us favor. May I always remember Your power and worship You with humility. In Jesus’ name, amen.

[10/24/2019, 9:59 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Dear God, we know there is evil in the world, but we know You have conquered it. Hallelujah! We praise Your holy name, O Lord. You are the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. Sin has no power over You. Thank You for sending Your son, Jesus Christ, to be our savior. He defeated death and darkness so that we may live free of the bondage of sin. Help me to live my life in celebration of this victory and freedom. In Jesus’ name, amen.

I know that things like physical appearance and money are fleeting; they will not last an eternity. But the things that come out of my heart will. Lord, may my heart be a reflection of your light. [10/27/2019, 5:10 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Night

Forgive us, Lord God, for any sins we have sinned this day or in days past. I desire to walk in accordance with the light You have shown to me from Your Word. I long for deeper fellowship with You and with my brothers and sisters in Christ as well. Help me to walk more consistently in the light and to not neglect long to confess and forsake any sins that hinder my fellowship with You.

We pray that our lost loved ones may receive your grace and respond to the Gospel message preached or simply read in their Bible or otherwise taught. We pray also that we who have experienced the new birth may continue to grow and bear fruit for God by means of the Word that birthed us.

[10/29/2019, 12:02 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Lord God, let us be sure of our strong foundation. Let us stand strong in faith in the midst of every storm of life and humbly but confidently sing "We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure though the billows roll, anchored to the rock that cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love." Amen.

[10/29/2019, 8:33 PM] MY TESTIMONY: A body separated from its spirit, O Lord, is but a corpse. And men separated from God are but spiritual corpses, cut off from the life of God. But we who know you in truth have a faith that lives and acts. Help us to live out our faith, O Lord, and to grow and increase in faith with each passing day.

[10/30/2019, 2:37 AM] MY TESTIMONY: Let's Pray 🙏

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! I ask that you help me remember these words, O Lord my God, and to not discriminate against another Christian or any person that seeks our wisdom and grace. Help us to all work together and create a world that is based on your teachings and love. We thank you for giving us a community to share and embrace you. Hosanna in the highest! Amen.

[10/30/2019, 8:24 PM] MY TESTIMONY: Show us that your Word, Lord, is truly "the Christ Book." Open our eyes to see Jesus in the Old Testament the way that You opened the eyes of those on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24). But let us seek a better understanding of Your Word not for the sake of entertainment or mere accumulation of knowledge, but that we may love You and serve You more.
